The Story

Built from an obsession with automotive form

4 Thirty Six is a one man automotive creative project founded by me, Nic Narini.

Cars have shaped most of my life. I grew up racing them, building them, breaking them and finding my way into just about every corner of the automotive world. Somewhere along the way, I became as interested in the shapes, stories and objects surrounding cars as I was in driving them.

4 Thirty Six is where those ideas go.

Right now, the focus is on small-run automotive objects. Familiar forms are simplified, reshaped and finished as pieces of art. Each one begins as an experiment and is developed by hand. Some will become limited releases. Others may remain one-offs.

There is no large design team, warehouse or rigid release calendar behind this. It’s one person creating things slowly, following interesting ideas and releasing them when they’re ready.

Why 4 Thirty Six?

4:36 AM is the quiet before the rest of the world gets moving.

It’s the hour of early shifts, cold starts and the first coffee of the day. It belongs to the people already putting in the work while most lights are still off. The builders, drivers, mechanics and hard workers who understand that progress often begins long before anyone is watching.

There’s something honest about that time. No noise, no audience and no shortcuts. Just the decision to get up and get started.

That feeling became the name.

Objects of speed

Inspiration comes from everywhere. Racetracks, rally stages, garages, childhood memories and the machines we once had hanging on our bedroom walls.

The goal isn’t to create perfect scale replicas. It’s to capture what makes a shape memorable, remove what it doesn’t need and turn it into an object that can live on a desk, shelf or coffee table.

Every piece is developed in low volume. Custom commissions are considered individually.

Still evolving

4 Thirty Six has changed shape before, and it probably will again. That’s part of the project.

There may be new objects, experiments, collaborations or occasional real-world projects. There may also be stretches where I’m simply working on the next idea behind the scenes.

No manufactured hype. No need to constantly feed an algorithm.

Just a lifelong obsession with cars translated into objects, and an open invitation to see where it goes next.

Thanks for being here!
